My role as your coach is to listen deeply, ask questions that get to the heart of things, offer practices that support all of you, and serve as an encouraging voice of accountability.
Coaching—like life—is not a linear process. I’ll create a personalized plan to guide our work, but it can shift as you need at any time. We’ll move at a pace that respects where you’re at, always.

The Coaching Process
We start here. Come just as you are. We’ll connect for 30 minutes to make sure we’re a great fit and get your questions answered.
We get clear on what’s working, what isn’t, identify what’s getting in the way, and zone in on the outcomes you’d like to see from our work together.
I create a coaching plan tailored to you. We dive in, meeting 1-2x/month for 60 minutes and stay connected via e-mail/text between sessions.
You’ll receive and cultivate practices that support you. I’ll be here for encouragement and accountability as you author and observe your growth.
Throughout the process, we celebrate your wins, reflect on how far you’ve come, and honour the courage it took to get there!

Both are wonderful approaches to growth and transformation. Coaching focuses on where you are right now and where you want to go (future/solution-focused). Counselling helps you understand where you’ve come from (more past-focused). Coaching is not a substitute for therapy, and I am not a trained therapist.

I will show up for you to the absolute best of my ability during each of our sessions. I will provide a welcoming, encouraging, non-judgemental space for you to explore what your path forward looks like. I’m not here to offer advice or tell you what to do: I’m here to ask questions, help you see multiple possibilities, and equip you with tools and practices to help sustain you. I will reply in a timely manner to e-mails and texts between our sessions (during my office hours). I can’t wait to celebrate your wins together!

Absolutely! Curiosity means you likely have questions, and part of my obligation-free consult is giving you the opportunity to get those answered (and see what working together feels like).

You’re committing to showing up for yourself and taking steps forward. Offering yourself kindness and compassion (it’s ok if this feels hard) in the process. Honouring both yourself and Heather by arriving at scheduled sessions on time (life does life, but please do your best).

This depends on what you need. Coaching is a process, not a one-and-done session. Most clients coach with me for 6-12 months, during which time they gain the resources they need to move forward independently (that’s always the goal! As much as I love my clients, coaching is about moving you forward so you have the resources you need without me!)

Most likely not. Unfortunately, most benefits programs do not cover coaching (yet!) I hope that one day, this amazing profession will be regulated—meaning that practitioners are held to specific standards of practice—and be eligible for benefit coverage. In the meantime, consider it an invaluable investment in yourself and your future!
